Broadband in the weekend News
Check out this week’s Economist article about the FCC’s plan for Broadband. It’s too timid and drags out for the next decade, calling for universal speeds of 4Mbps by 2020! Google’s planned network will be 250 times faster in 2010! The FCC goal of 100Mbps in 100 million homes by 2020 is too timid, too. Meanwhile, today’s NY Times editorial warns that if this country wants to remain competitive and cutting edge, we need to move farther and faster than that.
